Essex County Standard: Clinton confident there will be no repeats of Magpies setback Clinton confident there will be no repeats of Magpies setback

CLINTON Morrison says there must be no repeat of Colchester United’s horror show against Notts County.

The U’s were left stunned and licking their wounds after a 4-0 defeat at home to League One strugglers Notts County.

Joe Dunne’s side are now determined to set the record straight in this weekend’s trip to Oldham Athletic.

And striker Morrison is as confident as he can be that there will be no repeats of Saturday’s setback.

“We, as a group of players, know it wasn’t good enough and I don’t think you’ll see a performance like that again,” said the former Republic of Ireland international.

“The best teams in the world have an off-day, so why can’t we?"

The team consistantly have 'off days', hence the abysmal record of 4 wins in 23 league and cups games so far this season. Game after game the players under perform and are given the run around by other fitter teams.
