Colchester United have boosted their defensive options with the addition of centre-back Ben Tozer on a month’s loan from Northampton Town.
Tozer, 23, has made more than 100 appearances for Northampton since joining them from Newcastle United in 2010, initially on loan.
He was a regular in Aidy Boothroyd’s side when they reached the League Two play-offs last season.
And Tozer, who can also play as a right-back, has also featured in the Cobblers’ back four, during the current campaign.
