HEYBRIDGE Swifts manager Mark Hawkes and assistant Steve Smith have quit the club to take over at Conference South side Chelmsford City.
Swifts are currently sitting second in Ryman League division one north.
A statement on the Clarets website said: “Chelmsford City would like to take this time to place on record their sincere thanks and gratitude to Kenny Brown, who stepped up from the club’s assistant manager to caretaker manager for four matches.
“The club would like to wish Kenny the very best in the future and would like to thank him for his efforts over the course of the season.”
