Colchester United manager Joe Dunne wants Craig Eastmond to cut out the silly fouls that led to his recent suspension.

Eastmond returns to the U’s squad for their clash with MK Dons tonight, having served a one-match ban after picking up five bookings.

Dunne believes having the former Arsenal youngster available again will add to the quality in his squad.

But the U’s boss says he has spoken to Eastmond about the number of cautions he has picked up, over recent months.

Dunne said: “Craig had played every game before the suspension and he gives us a lot of quality when we’re in possession of the ball.

“He’s a miss to any team and they were silly fouls that led to his bookings.

“That’s something that he needs to work on, for sure.

“I’ve spoken to him about that and there are a lot of similarities about them.

“Somebody told me the other day that he’s committed the highest amount of fouls in League One.

“He just needs a full season playing at a decent level and that will certainly make him a better player for next season.”
