Colchester coach Johnston is looking for a big performance

COLCHESTER head coach Danny Johnston is looking for a big performance from his side this weekend.
They travel to Letchworth Garden City in London League division one north to restablish their rivalry of the last few seasons.
Colchester have won three out of their four opening games, as have today's hosts.
Johnston knows it will be a tough game as both sides have been been vying with each other to gain promotion spots over the years.
He said: “It is going to be one of our biggest matches.
“We have gone nose to nose with Letchworth in the division.
“We beat them twice last season, they beat us twice the season before and we took one apiece the season before that.
“As a team we like a challenge.
“These are the games that we revel in and it will be one of the hardest matches of the year.
“We are, probably, as excited as we can be by this game.”
Johnston has been pleased by the progression of his side but still wants to iron out a few wrinkles.
He said: “I don’t think I have seen a Colchester side that looks as good on a Thursday night in training than this one.
“I think sometimes a bit of over excitement comes in on a Saturday and we can’t quite finish things of as well as we should.
“The players are as frustrated as we are but all the elements are there and it will just take one push to put everything in place.
“Hopefully, today’s match will provide that.
“We have massive respect for Letchworth but if we can go there and do well then hopefully that can provide a platform for the rest of the season.”
Johnston will have an almost unchanged side for the Letchworth game but could be without injured flanker Dan Brennan.
