Rymer believes he can finish among top-scorers
STRIKER Terry Rymer is backing himself to be among the leading goal-scorers in this season’s Thurlow Nunn League.
The Brightlingsea Regent front man is heading back to one of his former clubs tonight when the premier division new-boys travel to Wivenhoe Town.
The sides had contrasting fortunes at the weekend, with Regent kicking-off by beating Felixstowe & Walton 2-0 and the Dragons losing by the same score at home to Haverhill Rovers.
And Rymer, who played Ryman League football for Wivenhoe during Steve Pitt’s tenure as manaager, is in confident mood ahead of the game at the Maple Tree Cars Stadium.
“I’m confident I can finish high up the league’s scoring charts,” said the striker, who has also played for Stanway Rovers and FC Clacton.
“I’d like to finish in the top five and I’m aiming for at least 20 goals.
“I believe in my ability and think it’s important to be confident."
