Jabo Ibehre wants to banish his red-card frustration by firing Colchester United to League One survival.

Ibehre is set to return to boost the U’s weekend, as their bid to avoid relegation hots up.

The experienced striker maintains he was hard done by in getting sent off at Hartlepool United, earlier this month.

But now his three-match ban has been served, Ibehre would love to erase that memory by helping the U’s, as their relegation battle reaches a critical stage.

The 30-year-old said: “It seems like a long time since I last played!

“It’s felt like forever and I’ve had times when I’ve felt frustrated and angry.

“I’ve felt a bit hard done by and if I’d deserved the red card, I would have held my hands up.

“But now it’s over and I’m itching to get back out there."

Hope Jabo keeps his head against MK Dons and doesn't pick up a further booking, otherwise he'll have another one game suspension as he is currently on four bookings.
