Three goals in the final eight minutes condemned Colchester United to a 3-1 home defeat against Charlton Athletic, in their latest Under-21 Development League Two match.
After a goal-less first half, the U's took the lead seven minutes in the second half when Jack Compton's shot flew in off the underside of the crossbar.
Colchester looked like they were heading for victory until Charlton scored three times in the final eight minutes through Bradley Jordan, Morgan Fox and Michael Smith helped to seal the visitors' victory.
The U's side featured the likes of Matt Heath, Alex Gilbey and Ben Coker.
