Dunne disappointed with point after U's let lead slip
5:53pm Saturday 27th October 2012 in Sport By Jonathan Waldron
Honest - U's boss Joe Dunne felt Shrewsbury deserved their point after their late comeback against his Colchester United side.
Colchester United manager Joe Dunne could not hide his frustration after seeing his side relinquish a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Shrewsbury Town this afternoon.
Goals from Craig Eastmond and substitute Sanchez Watt had put the U's in control, at Greenhous Meadow.
But two goals in the space of three minutes in the closing stages meant that Dunne's side had to settle for only a point, having been on couse for their fourth successive win.
Dunne said: "We're disappointed with drawing but it could have been worse.
"We're not good enough to sit back off teams, which is what I thought we did after our second goal.
"Let's be honest it could have been worse as I felt they should have had a penalty at the end and thry missed a couple of chances to make it 3-2.
"We brought it upon ourselves with two set plays which nobody was marking.
"It was all going to plan like it had previous games but we started to defend too deep which is the old habits and that draws on pressure.
"I thought they deserved to get their point, in the end."

At the begging of the day would have taken 2.2. Main thing now is to respond in the right manner, at Chelmsford but especially at notts county at home, who will be a tough competion
