Mobile Police Office THE mobile police office will be at the community centre car park, School Road on Monday, from 10.15am to 11am.
Langham Run THE 10k and 1.5 mile fun run organised by the Friends of Langham School, takes place on September 14 starting at 11am and finishing at the community centre.

Parent and Toddlers THE Langham Parent and Toddler Group meets every Thursday, from 9.30am to 11am during term time at the community centre, School Road. For details call 01206 272453.
Gate Repaired THE highway rangers have repaired the broken pedestrian gate between Perry Lane and the A12 and have cut back the hedges on the Birchwood Road.
Church Services SERVICES for Sunday, 8.30am eucharist (BCP) at St Mary's, Langham; 10am sung eucharist at St Peter's, Boxted; 10.30am morning service with holy communion at Boxted Methodist Church.
Primary School LANGHAM Primary School staged an exhibit in the schools' education tent at the Tendring Show.
The Friends of Langham School (FOLS) are currently funding a stage for the school hall.
Parish Council SUMMARY of the meeting held on June 24.
Co-option of a new parish councillor: Martin Bottwood was co-opted to fill the vacancy on the parish council.
Residents questions: A resident on behalf of the WI asked the council to complain to the Post Office about the poor service there had been. The clerk will contact the Post Office, EALC and Essex County Council.
Planning: Cllr Garnett felt that Colchester Borough Council is very anti the Langham park-and-ride proposal.
Roads and transport: The first meeting of the highways panel is scheduled for July 14. Some small road repairs have been done around the village.
Recreation ground: Cllr Durlacher thanked Mr Charles Hewitt for all his work in ensuring the high standard of the recreation ground that was reached in preparation for the Best Kept Village competition.
Village design statement: The VDS will be distributed in September to both residents and businesses. It will also be posted on the website.
Community council: The annual fete has been abandoned because of a lack of interest.
Boxted travellers: These have returned to their normal site in Norfolk, leaving the Wig and Fidget site in a tidy condition.
Langham Lane: This will be closed until tomorrow for major repairs.
Invitation to Geoff Harris of Essex County Council highways department: Geoff Harris will speak with Ray Smith on the state of roads in Langham and other related matters at the meeting on September 30. Interested residents welcome to attend. Any questions should be submitted in writing to the clerk in advance.
BT proposed closure of pay phones in Wick Road and Dedham Road: The clerk to submit a response indicating our opposition to this proposal.
Receipts and payments: A list of receipts (£1,000) and payments (£3,387) was circulated as part of the financial report.
Next meeting: The next meeting will be on Tuesday, July 29 at Langham community centre at 7.30pm.
