Hunt for distinctive stolen clock

The stolen clock
A SEARCH has begun for a distinctive antique clock which was stolen from a home in Broomfield.
Burglars broke into the property in Church Green, between September 25 and October 2, taking a number of items, including the clock believed to worth about £500.
It is thought it would have taken some effort by crooks to get out of the building as it was hung on a wall.
Police believe the burglars may have tried to sell it on to another party.
Investigating officer Pc Victoria Butler said: “The clock and other items have great sentimental value to the owners and I would therefore appeal to anyone who has any information about the break-in, or anyone who has any information about the current location of this clock, to contact me.”
Other items taken during the break-in included a pair of binoculars, pewter tankards, picture frames and jewellery.
Anyone with information should call Pc Butler on Chelmsford on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
