POLICE have named the man who died at a house party yards from this year's V Festival.

A bash was taking place at a house in London Road, Chelmsford, when Anton Jardin, 39, was killed.

Ten men were arrested on suspicion of murder after the incident in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The famiyl of Mr Jardin, of Eastwood Road, Rayleigh, issued a joint tribute.

It said: "Anton was our loving and caring son, brother and uncle.

"He was a talented artist and graphic designer, full of enthusiasm for life.

"He loved fitness and sport, including running the London Marathon in 2010 in aid of a local children's hospice. He enjoyed travelling, especially a trip to Australia.

"We are devastated at losing him, words cannot express our loss; there is a hole in our lives which cannot be filled.

"He will be sorely missed by friends and family.”

Eight of the ten men arrested have been released on police bail while enquiries continue.

Police have been given more time to quiz the two remaining men.

I was so saddened to hear of this terrible event over the weekend. I dont know exactly what happened or why, but there is one young man who is now no longer alive. I see Anton was involved in "just giving" for various charities and never quite made his last target. Perhaps readers could help him do this. My thoughts and prayers are with the Jardin family during what must be a very difficult time for them all.
