Maldon: Funds raised for Ken's funeral

Ken wrote a guide to pubs in Maldon.
Friends are rallying round to meet funeral costs for a fundraising stalwart who also had Maldon at heart.
Ken Stubbings, 65, was known by many for his knitting collections for seafarers and his book Here’s Good Luck to the Pint Pot – A brief history of Maldon’s Inns, Alehouses and Breweries which was published in 1988.
Mr Stubbings, who was the parish link organiser for St Mary’s Church in Maldon, had no known family and his friends want to give him the send off he deserves.
Anyone wishing to donate is asked to make cheques payable to St Mary’s Maldon PCC and mark on the back that it is in memory of Ken Stubbings.
