YOUNGSTERS in Wix stepped into their very own adventure world this week.

Children at Wix and Wrabness Primary activated their imaginations to write their own stories as part of the school’s book week.

On Wednesday author, Jack Trelawny, spoke to the pupils about how he was inspired to write.

Catherine Graham, literacy leader at the school, said: “It has been book week this week and as part of that an author came to the school.

“He told the children what inspired him and how he gets his ideas, which is why we chose him to come in.

“We wanted the children to think what would inspire them to write.

“The children were really excited and they asked him lots questions.

“Some of them have already started planning their own stories.”

The week also saw the children take part in a teddy day reading stories to fellow pupils and their teddies.
