A woman was flown to hospital after a crash in which her car overturned.
An ambulance, air ambulance, rapid response vehicle, ambulance officer, police and fire crews were called to Steeple Road near Nipsells Chase, Mayland, shortly before 1.20pm today.
An ambulance service spokesman said: “We attended and treated a woman in her 30s with neck and pelvic pain.
“Once fire crews extricated her, she was flown to Broomfield Hospital for further care.”
One fire crew from Tillingham and another from South Woodham Ferrers attended the scene.
A fire service spokesman said: “Firefighters were called to road traffic collision involving one car that had overturned.
“One woman was trapped by her injuries and crews used specialist cutting equipment to release the casualty by 2.11pm.”
