A little girl who suffered huge injuries following a car crash when she was just 15 months old is making good progress.

However, it may be a while before the full extent of her injuries are known.

Maisie Moon, now three, was flown to Addenbrooke’s Hospital after a lorry ploughed into the car in which she was travelling in Coggeshall Road, Earls Colne, in September 2012.

Her dad David, who was driving at the time and was left with two broken ribs, said: “We had to teach her to do everything again after the accident - it was like teaching a newborn.

“She is doing really well and is starting school in September.

“We have a lifelong debt to the air ambulance.

“If it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t have a little girl.”
