A RECORD number of runners braved the wind and rain to compete in Colchester's half marathon today.
More than 2,000 athletes raced through the town and surrounding countryside.
Crowds turned out to watch the event despite the weather.
Race director Luke Wastell said: "Everyone has pulled together and 2016 will be even bigger and better - that's a promise."
