A water tower could still be turned into a house after an appeal was lodged.
Braintree Council refused the application to turn the disused water tower, in Halstead Road, near The Three Counties Crematorium into a five storey house complete with cinema room on grounds that the extension was extension too big and the added storey would be out of place in its rural setting.
However, an appeal has now been lodged against the decision.
The water tower has not been used for 50 years and currently houses telecommunication equipment.
