Police investigating a burglary in West End Road in Tiptree have released an e-fit of a man they would like to identify.
The incident happened on Monday January 26 at around 4.15pm.
The suspect, who was in a group with four other men, tricked his way into the house.
While the victim, who is in his mid 70s, was distracted, his wallet containing cash and cards was stolen.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s.
He has black hair, a thin build and spoke with an English accent.
He was wearing a green jacket, black trousers and black shoes.
There was a white van parked nearby that the group of men are believed to have used.
Anyone who recognises the man depicted in the e-fit is asked to contact Dc Bryan Heath at Colchester CID on 101.
