Dog wardens are monitoring a problem road in Halstead after an exasperated dad put up signs complaining about dog mess outside his home.
Last week, Mark Tolson, 47, put a poster up after spotting mess continuously piling up outside his neighbour’s home in Kings Road.
After he posted the sign on Facebook, it was quickly “liked” by 260 people and residents suggested the problem was widespread in the town.
Since he put up the posters, dog wardens have visited the street and the dad-of-four, who owns a dog himself, has been impressed by Braintree Council’s response.
He said: “Dogs have stopped pooping down our stretch.
“Environmental services have called me from the council and they are going to give me and other people in the street a feedback form so residents can report people if we see anything - I think that’s a really good idea."
