Council still committed to providing allotment space
ALLOTMENTS holders have been reassured a council is committed to providing them with space.
In 2013 vegetable growers had to leave land off Shrubland Road in Mistley.
Mistley Parish Council hopes to provide allotment space behind affordable homes being built off Harwich Road.
The council were given planning permission to provide access and car parking at the site last year.
Mistley Parish Council chairman Martin Rayner said the council still intended to provide allotment space but currently didn’t have access to the site.
