Police staff have warned residents not to make their presents an easy target this Christmas.
They advise sheds and outbuildings are kept secure and frame and serial numbers of purchases are noted down and registered to ensure quicker recovery if stolen.
Police warn empty boxes outside homes may advertise new presents and suggest residents dispose of packaging carefully and ensure insurance covers presents.
