A TRAVELLING theatre company will be stopping off in Dovercourt with their production which is set in a wrestling ring.
Stage Write will present Living With Luke – a play which uses grappling to depict the issues which can arise when living with an autistic child.
The play was first performed at Colchester’s Mercury Theatre but has now embarked on a minitour and will arrive at Harwich and Dovercourt High School on Friday at 7.30pm.
Writer and director Paul T Davies has been delighted with the reaction to the show so far.
“The public response was incredible, we had wrestling fans that had never been to the theatre, theatregoers who have never experienced wrestling, and more importantly for us we reached parents, families and friends of autistic children,”he said.
“One parent told us the play was like having a ringside seat to her own life.
Tickets are free for Harwich and Dovercourt High School students and staff and £10 for members of the public at ticketsource.co.uk/livingwithluke
