A 51-year-old man from Westcliff-on-Sea arrested by police yesterday on suspicion of murder has been released on police bail until Monday, November 17.

The remains of Angela Millington, 33, of Southend, were found washed up on Foulness Island on Saturday, June 21.

Detectives are investigating possible sightings of Angela early this year in Southend in January and mid-February.

DCI Simon Werrett, of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, who is leading the enquiry said: "We continue to receive valuable information from the public and we are currently looking into the possibility of her living or associating with someone in February this year.

"We are keen to trace this person so urge them to get in touch.”
