Superfast broadband will be reaching Maldon in 2015, as part of ‘Phase 2’ of the county-wide rollout.
So far more than 10,000 homes and businesses in Essex have been linked to superfast broadband through the Superfast Essex programme.
A public consultation was launched last Thursday about the basis of the second rollout phase.
So far a sixth of the overall connections expected from the two-year implementation programme have been carried out.
New public investment of £13 million, to which Maldon contributed £90,994, means Phase 2 is aiming to take superfast broadband coverage up to 95% of Essex homes and businesses.
