Runners from around the world descended on Maldon to follow a ‘hares and hounds’ trail.
About 40 people from the Barbados Hash House Harriers Exiles club visited the town last weekend to take part in a mystery run.
Organised by Maldon resident Chris Harvey, who used to live in Saint James, Barbados, the reunion saw hashers from the island stay at the Blue Boar and Limes Guest House and follow a trail of flour on streets and pavements.
Some runners of the social club came as far away as Mozambique and Canada to take part in the event.
The exiles were living in Barbados in the late 80s and early 90s.
Mr Harvey organised the annual reunion in the UK with fellow harrier Terry Young, from Hornchurch.
He said the run was “great fun”.
