A teenager with a rare genetic disorder is shaving her head to raise money for medical research.
Sarah-Jay Pickton, 18, has Gaucher disease, an enzyme deficiency that results in affected cells accumulating in body tissues, such as the spleen, liver and bone marrow, affecting how well they function.
Symptoms can vary from none to the development of life-threatening conditions.
Sarah-Jay, of Booth Place, Burnham, will have her head shaved on November 13 at Matrix Hair Art in Station Road, Burnham, to raise money for The Gauchers Association.
