Maldon: Watch out for blizzards on Friday
5:40pm Wednesday 16th January 2013 in Countywide news
Maldon district residents are being urged to brace themselves as the cold weather looks set to continue into the weekend and beyond.
Essex weatherman Tom Defty revealed that today and tomorrow should be OK weather wise as high pressure continues to build.
But while he warned of the slight potential for a nationwide blizzard on Friday, he added that it was not a threat to be taken too seriously.
There is a 70/30 chance that the cold weather will continue through into the weekend and beyond, he said.

Revealed?? Was it supposed to be a secret????
"But while he warned of the slight potential for a nationwide blizzard on Friday"
Slight? The BBC weather man has been wetting his knickers about the warm front meeting the cold and a total national white-out on Friday !!!!!!!!!!!!!
However, I agree with Mr Defty - let's not get too excited about this or all the schools in the county will be closed before the fall of a single snowflake...........
