A SCHOOL is counting the cost of a break-in where burglars stole thousands of pounds of new computers.
East Bergholt High School in Heath Road, had eight Apple iMac computers and screens stolen.
The computers, which sell between £1,099 and £1,499 were part of a major refurbishment of the music department at the school.
Burglars broke in sometime between 9.30pm on Thursday November 29 and 7.30pm the following day.
Headteacher Colin Turner said: “Both staff and students are devastated by this incident. However we are fortunate that no student work has been lost.”
