ITALIA Unita inched closer to the Premier Division leaders with a 2-0 win over Widmer End thanks to Rino Sepede's double strike.

The in-form striker struck in the 55th and 75th minutes to take his tally to nine goals in his last three games as Italia closed the gap on the leading two, Plough Inn and Cherry Tree, who did not play.

Italia Unita Reserves moved into fourth place with a 3-1 win over Busbys with goals from Jeremy Snapes, Matt Hall and Sheraz Khan.

In Division Three, Wycombe Marsh RBL Reserves had a close battle with Ercol 2000 before Mark Hockley slotted home the winner for a 4-3 scoreline. But he hurt himself in the process, gashing his shin when he collided with the goalpost and took no further part in the game.

Earlier, Marsh's opening goals had come from Neil Bowden, Andrew Lawrence and an own goal.

Struggling Dolphin put up a brave fight before losing by the odd goal in three against Black Boy 99. Adrian Piggott scored from the penalty spot for Dolphin but Black Boy won it thanks to goals from Greg Joseph and the aptly-named Richard Victory.

In Division Four, second-placed Beaconsfield Legion boosted their goal difference with a 9-0 thrashing of basement side Pheasant Reserves. Paul Thomas led the way with three goals while Dominic George weighed in with two. Darren Baldwin, Ashley Kirk, Mark Hooper and an own goal completed the rout.

Premiership leaders Plough Inn went two better scoring 11 without reply against second division Masters. Three players Neil Catlin, Robert Gibson and Gary Wiltshire hit two apiece with James Ramsey, James Pritchard and Martin Roberts also scoring.

Second Division IPA Dolphin progressed to round four with a 6-0 win over Wycombe Town Reserves. Two goals from Paul Schrieber allied to strikes from Simon Spaull, John Moore, Richard Thompson and Dave Twitchen accounted for the struggling Division Five side.
