A SCHOOL will celebrate the ups and downs of its past 50 years in a unique way by painting its dining hall as a snakes and ladders board.
Holtspur County Combined School in Cherry Tree Road, Beaconsfield, celebrates its golden jubilee in May and hopes to make several improvements to the school including a garden for pupils and a shaded seating area.
Kate Morris, a parent at the school, came up with the idea of suggested decorating the dining hall.
Headteacher Adrian Broadway said: "We wanted a joint golden jubilee and millennium project and came up with this.
"We decided we would concentrate on improving the lunchtime facilities for children.
"There will be an exhibition with memorabilia from the school's past which will be staged in the dining hall in May."
The dining hall is the only original part of the school left standing.
