A CYCLIST has raised more than £2,000 for charity pedalling across Australia.

James Bradbury, from Chalfont St Peter, cycled 3,000 miles from Sydney to Perth to help the Slough-based National Drug Prevention Alliance.

James said: "I enjoyed the ride, but even on the tough days the thought of helping to fund tackling the drug problem kept me going."

James and his fellow cyclist James Baldry, who was raising money for diabetes welfare, had to battle with prevailing winds for almost the whole trip, heavy rain, huge 'road train' trucks, perpetual broken glass and as many as seven punctures in one day.
