THE Bucks Federation of Women's Institutes is compiling a book of living memories from 1939 to 1969.
Co-ordinator Muriel Rutherford, said: "We have a great opportunity to compile a book of living memories. The emphasis will be on the 1950s and the 1960s, but we are interested in everything from 1939 to 1969."
The WI book, available in autumn, will be published jointly by the BFWI and Countryside Books.
It is hoped the book will contain information and memories of a variety of subjects, including big events, local businesses, childhood memories and discipline.
Mrs Rutherford said that as well as anecdotes, newspaper articles, photographs and advertisements could also be included.
All contributions have to be in by February 28.
