A woman has been found guilty of killing her boyfriend in a road crash.

Jayme Mann lost control of her Renault Clio while travelling along an unnamed road and struck trees in Delvin End, Sible Hedingham, on May 8, 2010.

Front seat passenger Lee Dipino, 20, of Summerfields in Sible Hedingham, was certified dead at the scene.

Mann was issued a summons relating to causing death by careless driving in June 2010.

She stood trial at Chelmsford Crown Court this week and a jury found the 21-year-old student of Butlers Way, Great Yeldham, guilty of the offence.

She has been bailed prior to sentencing next month.

This is so sad but did the judge honestly think she killed her boyfriend on purpose, i can't see any point in punishing her she has been punished enough, I hope these families can move forward and i hope she doesn;t get sentenced to prison x

Agreed, hopefully it won't be a prison sentence; prison is for rehabilitating criminals, in the case of accidental death due to a driving accident there's not really anything that needs rehabilitating. A driving ban should be plenty.

So agree she has more than suffered for past couple of years since the accident and a prison sentence is not what she deserves !

Having this hanging over your head for two years must have been awful, everyone who drives can miscalculate driving conditions, think that she has suffered enough, accidents are just that accidental.

Yeah but none of u know the ins and outs of it!!!! You'll be glad to know yes she is getting off lightly and her family are still moaning about it, at least they still have their daughter alive. Yeah she had to have it over her head for 2 years but shes moved on(a few times) and his family and us (all his friends) have to drive past it every day and think about it for the rest of theirs and our lives. So if u don't know the situation don't comment on it, there's no need
