Man hospitalised after assault in Magdalen Street

POLICE are appealing for information following an assault in Magdalen Street.

A 37-year-old man was hopsitalised with facial injuries after being attacked by two men at about 3am on Friday.

The suspects are white and both in their late teens or early twenties.

They have short cropped hair and were wearing tracksuits.

Following the assault they left in the direction of Military Road.

PC Ben Hall said: "I am appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time who witnessed this or has any information to contact me.”

I hope it doesn't turn into a no-go area, as I live there! (Town end) I have lived here around 5 years and have never had any trouble. So this story is a bit frighting. Hope the man who was attacked is recovering well and that those who done it are caught.
