Colchester: Armed forces minister to visit

MINISTER for the Armed Forces Bill Rammell is visiting Essex University for a public discussion on the war in Afghanistan.

Mr Rammell will be at the university on Thursday as part of a visit to Colchester.

He will address a public audience about the role of the armed forces in the ongoing conflict in Afghanistan and members of the public will get their chance to question him about the on-going military engagement in the country.

The discussion takes place at the university’s campus at 2.30pm. Admission is free and open to the public but is strictly by ticket only.
