CROOKS duped a man during a distraction burglary and stole hundreds of pounds in cash.
Four men knocked on the door of a man aged in his mid-70s in West End Road, in Tiptree on Monday at about 4.15pm.
One of the four men tricked his way into the man’s house and while the victim was distracted, his wallet and cards were stolen.
The main suspect is described as white and aged in his twenties.
He has black hair, is of thin build and spoke with an English accent.
He was wearing a green jacket, black trousers and black shoes.
Police also said there was a white van parked nearby which the group of men are believed to have used.
