A THUG attacked a man on a busy bus, continuing the assault when they fell onto the road in front of horrified passengers.
A witness described the victim being kicked, punched and slammed against the windscreen and doors as the bus travelled from Colchester town centre towards the St Michael’s estate on Thursday evening.
When the driver halted and the doors opened, the pair fell on to the pavement and the attack continued.
It only ended when the driver called 999 and the attacker and a pal walked off.
The victim, a man believed to be in his fifties, was left on the ground.
One passenger, who did not want to be named, said: “This was a violent attack and clearly left people on the bus shocked and scared, as any one of us could have been victims.”
