ORGANISERS are gearing up for this year’s Colchester Winter Queen Fair.
The event, which takes place on November 2, will see the town’s High Street closed to traffic as markets and gift, craft, food and drink stalls take over.
Winter Queen Holli Dillon, 26, will also be on board a train, throwing sweets to visitors.
Don Quinn, event organiser, said: “This is a much-loved event which has captured the imagination of Colchester.
“We have got so many wonderful food stalls and there’ll be a chance to get the Christmas shopping started early as well.”
The event takes place between 10.30am and 5pm.
Actress and artist Miss Dillon was selected as Winter Queen earlier this month.
