A FORMER Essex University student stabbed his mother to death.
Emmanuel Kalejaiye, 21, was cleared of murder, but will be detained after admitting manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.
Kalejaiye studied molecular medicine and biochemistry at Essex University’s Wivenhoe campus between 2010 and 2013.
Kalejaiye admitted killing her but claimed a gang forced him to do it, claims ultimately rejected by the jury at Chelmsford Crown Court.
