BOSSES at the under-fire hospital trust will hold a public meeting for the first time since an investigation was launched on Thursday afternoon.
Colchester Hospital University NHS Trust, which runs Colchester General and Essex County hospitals, is holding a Council of Governors meeting starting at 2pm.
Chief executive Gordon Coutts and chairman Sally Irvine are both expected to speak about a government investigation into mortality rates at the hospitals.
