A STUDENT who turned her life around is up for a top award.

Naomi Taylor, 19, has been nominated for the Youth Academy Award by staff at the Mersea Road Family Mosaic team who provide guidance and advice for young people on housing and budgeting.

When Miss Taylor became involved in the Family Mosaic scheme she was struggling with life and getting in trouble with the police and the team helped her to get back on track.

She is now up for the Youth Academy Challenger award.

Why reward someone for doing what she should have been doing all along as a law-abiding citizen???

She's 19? She looks more like 9! Tend to agree with the above comments but everyone deserves a second chance, don't they? Well, nearly everyone.

weesley, chubster and blue frog... i wish you had done something with YOUR lives instead of ripping into someone that has bettered themselves....shame on you.... Young people deserve encouragement instead of belittling them. Get a life! Good luck Naomi, don't let misanthropic fools like them get you down....

You are quick to judge, considering you don't know this young girls background, I'm not saying its an excuse but maybe you should consider why she is living where she is, rather than just assuming negativity.

You don't know me, I have done plenty with my life thankyou very much, you haven't got a clue what I've been through!
How was I "ripping into her?"
The story isn't particularly informative is it!

Nah, just can't be arsed responding to someone who's simply here for an argument.
