Fire breaks out in Harwich and Dovercourt High School roof

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a fire at a school.

Flames broke out in the roof of the science block at Harwich and Dovercourt High School this morning, Wednesday, January 9.

Two engines from Dovercourt attended the school in Hall Lane at 11.18am but the fire was out as they arrived.

They left the scene at 11.43am.

Just to inform you all, as a pupil of Harwich and dovercourt high school the fire alarms were not working, as a school who are so high on their reputation this was a big let down, and a lot of students were concerned and not allowed to leave their class due to this. Instead pupils had to cost each others classes to infirm them that their was a fire. Thank god this wasn't a dangerous fire a their could of been serious harm.
