THE family of a murdered teenager are to renew their appeal for help catching his killer, to coincide with what would have been his 18th birthday.
Jay Whiston, from Clacton, died after being stabbed outside a house party last September.
Police say they remain "disappointed and frustrated" that nobody has come forward with the vital information needed to help identify the teenager's killer.
Jay’s mother sister are expected to make a plea for people to come forward with information at a press conference next Monday.
Jay's birthday would have been this Sunday.
The student was stabbed at a house party in Marlowe Way, Lexden, shortly after 10pm on September 8.
The 17-year-old, of Aster Close, Clacton, died a short time later in hospital.
A provisional post-mortem examination result showed that he died from a stab wound.
