Motorist cut free from car following crash

A MOTORIST was cut free from his car following a crash in Walton.
Emergency services were called to the junction of Kirby Road and Walton Road shortly after 10.35am.
A man in his 40s was left trapped by his injuries following the two vehicle collision.
Two fire crews from Frinton were called to the scene and used cutting equipment to free the casualty by 11.32am.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “He had suspected head and neck injuries and was taken to Colchester General Hospital.
“His injuries are not life threatening.”
