Cassie's Law: Minister agrees to consider petition

A GOVERNMENT minister has agreed to look into the campaign calling for a change the law.

Cassie’s Law calls for the police to have powers to temporarily seize a driver’s licence if they consider them unfit to drive.

And on a visit to Colchester, Norman Baker, who is the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Transport, said he he would arrange for the petition to be received by the Government.

About 4,000 people have so far signed the petition - and support is continuing to grow.
