Ambulance crashes while responding to emergency

AN investigation has been launched after a crash involving an ambulance responding to an emergency call.

Paramedics were racing to get to a woman who had collapsed with a seizure on East Hill.

As the ambulance travelled around the roundabout near Westway, Colchester, there was a collision with a black Seat Ibiza at about 4pm on Friday.

Nobody was injured.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “An internal investigation has been launched.”

Unfortunate but these incidents do happen. The current range of vehicles are awful to drive and are tricky to master.
Our older Hanlon designed models were sleeker and had better stability controls.
It would help if drivers on the road where a little more aware.

Well I will be more aware and careful now knowing our Ambulance drive such unstable vehicles, thankfully my instincts have taken over in the past and have given these vehicles such a wide birth.
