A MUSEUM has welcomed its 5,000th visitor.

The Earls Colne Heritage Museum, at the Old Water Tower in Reuben Walk, has had visitors from across the world come through its doors since it opened in 2005.

Honorary curator Brian Alderman presented the landmark visitor, Anne-Marie Tilbrook from Rochford, with a specially printed certificate to mark the occasion.

Congratulations to Brian Alderman and Earls Colne Heritage Museum, a fascinating institution and well worth a visit by anyone interested in the history of local engineering, and of Earls Colne in particular.
And, unlike at the VAF, every visitor is welcomed, and the visitor count is genuine.
