You could switch on Colchester's Christmas lights

A YOUNGSTER can win the chance to switch on Colchester’s Christmas lights this year.
Colchester’s Christmas Group are seeking a shining star to switch on this year’s lights in the High Street.
The lucky winner will accompany Colchester mayor Christopher Arnold onto the balcony of the Town Hall for the official lights switch-on at 5.30pm on Saturday November 17.
The competition opens on Monday (October 22) to children at junior or primary school and youngsters need to say what their special Christmas wish is.
- Entries should be emailed to colchester@garrisonfm.com or you can write your entry on a piece of paper and put it into the box at either Colchester’s Visitor Information Centre in the High Street or Londis Supermarket, St Michael's Estate.
- A parent or guardian should add their permission to the entry as well as contact details and the closing date is midday on Thursday November 8.
