Chantry not for sale
7:00am Monday 22nd October 2012 in News By Wendy Brading
THE firm behind the controversial Horkesley Park development has denied it plans to sell one of the centrepieces of the project.
Bunting and Sons has applied to Colchester Council for permission for a heritage and visitor centre on land at Great Horkesley.
One of the key elements of the attraction would be The Chantry which is due to be house a fine art gallery displaying original paintings by John Constable and other regional artists.
The Chantry was on the market but now Buntings have said it is no longer for sale.
